  • Eric Campbell

I thought the Mets' most belittled ballplayer deserved his own thread.

Let's discuss Eric Campbell. What value does he hold? Will he be with the team all year? Is 2016 his breakout campaign?

I hope he breaks out and never comes back.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

Eric Campbell hit .197/.312/.295 at the major league level in 2015 for a 72 OPS+. He was worth -0.5 WAR according to Baseball Reference.
The Mets have the best, smartest fans in baseball.

LOL - now that is funny right there. True, but funny.

I hope he stays banished. He shouldn't be on the team.

I'm sure he will keep the bench suitably warm for DeGrom's return.

Campbell made quite a defensive play yesterday. I don't think Wright turns that one.
