A round of Ballantines on me the Phillies have done the second right thing in two days manning up and shipping Thome out for actual non-damaged goods with an upside, "belch"

I'll take an "Ugie" and a 4 oz. if you don't mind an out-of-towner sittin' in.

I think you guys made pretty good out of the Thome situation today.

Coming right up today all Ugie's come with a complimentary slice of faux pickle. The physical is worrisome...

I dreamed the biggest turkey of them all lost the Phillies in a game of strip poker with Janet Reno and she sold the team to me for $1. Must be that fifteenth helping of turkey giblets 'n gravy...

After drinking a dusty case of Reading Pure Premium in honor of Thome's passing the physical I got kinda weepy and listened to my audio book of Pete Rose's "My Prison Without Bars" till I puked and passed out...

                    Ed

I'm off work in 10 minutes.

                    I might drop by.

                    What's the special today?

Hey Ed. How about a 5 oz. and a Von Hayes to wash down this Wagner deal.

                        Jose Mesa anyone?

Sorry to correct you but it's the "Reggie "Elliot Ness" Taylor" as virtually ALL prospects were untouchables in the Wade era. Wow, did I just type "Wade era"?

Ed, you're so clever. I love it. But it's going to take about 16-25 5 ouncers to wash down the lost of Wagner.

Ok, I got this round. And a big platter of Monday Morandini's for the gents. No hard feelings about Billy W. eh? I'm a little self-conscious about the money being tossed around. I'm hoping it doesn't end up like the Vaughn/Alomar/Burnitz 'experiment' a couple years back. h
