  • How many games will Jamie Moyer win this year ?

    a. 1-6 games ?
    b. 7-13 games ?
    c. 14-19 games ?
    d. 20 or more games ?

I pick (c) 14-19 games. Why, He won 11 games last year with a Seattle team that couldn't give him run support and he finished with the Phillies. He pitched over 200 innings in 2006 with a 4.30 ERA. The phillies gave him a two year contract extention.

Moyer has defied the odds over the years, but at age 44 time has to be in short supply. I would expect him to collapse rather than win 14+ games.

I voted 7-13. His baseball life is now extended a bit because he's now pitching in the NL, but I think that it's completely unrealistic to expect him to win 15+ games.

I looked, but not good enough. My thread is getting as much play as that one did.

yeah three posts is the average in this forum, we only have about five active phillies posters.
