  • 20 Phillies are now among MLB's100 oldest living players

    Pitcher, Roman 'Ray' Semproch who went a promising 13-11 in his rookie year for the N.L. last place 1958 Phillies entered the Wikipedia and baseball-almanac lists of the 100 oldest living major league players and he also turned 89 years of age this week on January 7. His 13 wins were second on the team only to the great Robin Roberts, who logged 17 victories. Injuries would shorten Semproch's major league career to just four seasons. He was a Phillie in 1958 & 1959, a Detroit Tiger in 1960 and he pitched for the Los Angeles Angels in their major leagues inaugural year of 1961,.
    Semproch's entry to the 100 Oldest Players List gives the Phillies 20 Players among the 100 oldest. Among the 20 Oldest Living Phillies are 13 Players who have reached the age of 90. As of January 11, 2020 here are the Phillies in the 100 oldest living major leagues players List:
