Randy Wolf is a travesty. I'd rather them have been scouting Josh Bard as a possible replacement for Carlos Ruiz while they were at PETCO. Who knows though, Gillick's out the door after this year so we'll see.

As for Harden, not a chance. He's just the same as Wolf in terms of injury, although Harden can actually pitch while hes healthy.

I have no interest in Blanton.

Please tell me that this is not true! Tell me the Phils are scouting Harden and Blanton of Oakland or are preparing to fleece Ed Wade for Oswalt. Wolf had, what, one 15 win season in 7 years? The rest of the time he was either maddenly inconsistent or injured. If Gillick is going to get Wolf, he may as well get back Padilla and "Fatso" Millwood, to go along with "Lazy Boy" Myers to reunite the 2003 & 04 rotations.
Puddles Padilla, Fatty Millwood, and Mad Dog Myers: what a triumvirate! Those three could enable Gillick to unload Hamels before arbitration.

Won't happen. A's are asking the world for Hardin and Blanton, plus they are still in the race. Maddux would not be a good fit in our bandbox.
