Ben, I can tolerate maybe one of these posts every ten days or two weeks, but I'm not going to allow a day by day count like the first two posts set up. People can count, especially if you're within a couple of weeks.

Some minds are like concrete--thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

When is the reporting date for Pitchers and Catchers and the reporting date for the rest of the Phillies players? (I promise not to do a countdown on these dates).
I know that the first Spring Training exhibition game is Feb. 23, which is probably the earliest first Spring Training 1st game in the team's history. This early start is probably due in part to the influence of the WBC being held next March.
RE: The last WBC tournament of 2009. I swear that the American team played better with Jimmy Rollins at shortstop than Derek Jeter, but of course, Yankees fans don't want to hear that.

The dates I heard (though I don't believe they're official yet) were Saturday, February 9th for catchers/pitchers and Thursday, February 14th for everybody else.

            Found this on MLB.com...

            February 12
Voluntary Spring Training report date for pitchers, catchers and injured players

            February 15
Voluntary date on which all non-World Baseball Classic position players may be invited to Spring Training

            February 20
Mandatory date by which all non-World Baseball Classic players must report

That was some good digging for those reporting dates. Thanks, Ben! (Good Facts to know since I live about 60 - 75 minutes from Clearwater,) As I had figured, the WBC has really altered the normal Spring Training schedule this year.
