The Phillies have let Juan Pierre go. He's signed with the Miami Marlins as a Free Agent today. Pierre can still play, as witnessed by his .307 season last year with 37 stolen bases. He should receive equal or additional playing time in 2013 with the Marlins than he did with the Phillies in 2012 (approximarely 130 games and 400 at bats). He is said to be receiving a salary of 1.6 million dollars next year from Miami (double what he played for as a 2012 Phillie.)
