*I didn't select the players to fit a desired batting order. I arranged them after picking the best by position.

    Thoughts?

"No matter how great you were once upon a time — the years go by, and men forget,” - W. A. Phelon in Baseball Magazine in 1915. “Ross Barnes, forty years ago, was as great as Cobb or Wagner ever dared to be. Had scores been kept then as now, he would have seemed incomparably marvelous.”

A few close ones. I'll take Charlie over Dallas only because Green wasn't around long enough and was handed a contending team when he took over.

For LF, I prefer Sherry Magee over Luzinski. As unpopular as this will be, I'll also take Bobby Abreu as the top RFer. And 3B, I'll take Scott Rolen over Dick Allen only because Dick should have been playing 1B with that concrete glove of his.

I do like Magee over Big Lu.
