Hello all,
Just thought I'd relate my experience, and see if anyone else had the same:
The MORNING that the WBC tickets went on sale online, I logged on to get some tickets to the final. The only tickets available were in the nosebleed section, and I would have been FORCED to buy tickets for BOTH semi-final games as well (in other words, you couldn't just get tickets for the final, nor for ONE of the semi-final games either ... you had to purchase tickets for all three games).
IF I could have gotten decent seats, I MIGHT have paid the exhorbitant sum they were asking, but I was so ticked off that I am boycotting the WBC, and all 2006 Padre games, for that matter.
I have personally had business dealings with the Padres organization in the past (in the Luccino era), and based on my experiences with them and their ticket policies, they are ONE unethical organization. I hope they tank the entire season!
