  • My take on Bonds

    My Blog
I can't publish now since the server is down...

Barry Bonds' offseason just took another dip.

Barry Bonds is going to sue the two writers from the San Fransisco Chronicle claiming that he consumed steroids in the past couple of seasons.
Bonds says that these two writers are only looking to make a fat profit out of ''Game of Shadows'' (coming to stores Opening Day).
He is also going to sue Sports Illustrated for realeasing exceprts of the book and he is also going to sue the San Fransisco Chronicle including its two writers,

This is a very logical decision, Barry wants to defend himself, no question about it.
He wants to prove that he is not a steroid-abuser, since we already know he is a user.

But what does he want to prove with this move, he's not just going to march into court with a bunch of papers and a millionaire lawyer on his side, No, this time he'll make a show out of it I guarrantee you.
Here's my interpretation of what he'll say:

    1) He'll state that the elements in the book are false and inacurrate
Naturally, anyone would defend themselves and he'll spit out this sentence no doubt about it.
    2) ''There's more to life than baseball'' He already said this
True, steroids are not a part of life
    3) They have no proof that Bonds took steroids.
Now this could be interesting, we'll have to wait and see...

If according to Bonds, there's more to life than baseball, then why?
Why is he playing the sport if there's more to life than it.
    Barry, go back to school.
Learn how to speak, what steroids are and not to dress up as Paula Abdul.
Bud Selig doesn't need another phone call...(or does he?)

Any comments here will be added to my blog...

I think his lawyers are just trying to create a diversion while he's going after the home run records.

I can just hear all the Bonds' fans now.."Look, He's fighting against these ridiculous allegations. I told you he didn't knowingly use steroids."

He won't follow through with any lawsuit and he can afford to pay his lawyers for the smoke screen.

I'm sure his lawyers want it played out on Sports Center as well as every other media outlet in the US.

The more people he has feeling sorry for him, the better...right?

          The better for Giants fans.

The more Giants fans feel sorry for him, the more they'll ''protect'' him.
Which may create a tension on Sports Center.

Remember; he doesn't have to convince Giants fans. It's all the others in all the other parks he going to be jeered at over the next few months and possibly into next season.

Are Selig and Aaron going to show up when he breaks Ruth's record?

I'm sure he's not holding his breath waiting for that to happen.

He needs all the help he can get.

At the end of the day these records are meaningless if they aren't considered legitimate by the public and I'm sure he knows this.

For the record, Bond's lawsuit has to do with the fact that the writers used illegally obtained grad jury testimony.
So he's suing people. Big deal. Celebrities sue all the time, it's a part of that world that people like us just don't really understand. If he feels that the best way to protect himself from allegation after allegation is to use legal means, all I can say is good luck.

                the lawsuit is a diversion?
                that is too funny, man.

seriously, why would anyone think that anything could be a diversion to the bonds/steroids story?

if the u.s. occupation of iraq and the threatening skies over north korea and iran are not doing the trick, what on earth could?
