  • Well, Zito had another pretty good outing in last night's win. Before the season I thought the best case for Zito would be him finishing 12-12, looks like he may do a little bit better than that. A .500 record out of the 5 pitchers spot is something that almost every manager will take, and Zito will do that, plus he's going about 6 inning a start, so he's helping the pen too. Of course, we are still expecting to see him implode every start, and he's been surprising us all season long. Maybe he should have gotten married 4 seasons ago?

    • Lets not get too carried way with Zito. He has an 83 ERA+ on the season. Zito is the new Woody!!!!
Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.-Crash Davis

      • If you guys haven't noticed Brandon Belt is "hot" again. In his last 12 games he's hitting .385. But he needs to start hitting home runs again.

        • The Giants continue to pound the ball on the road. They are up 11-0 on the Cardinals!!!! Amazingly, the Giants lead the National League in road scoring.

          • If there is anything I hate .....

            Tonights game

Lincecum goes 1-2-3 in the top of the first

            Bottom of first

            Pagan batting
            Pitch 1 - ball
            Pitch 2 - ball
            Pitch 3 - ball
            Pitch 4 - ball

            Scutaro batting
            Pitch 5 - ball
            Pitch 6 - ball
            Pitch 7 - strike
            Pitch 8 - ball

The pitcher has thrown 7 balls in 8 pitches

Pitch 9 - Pagan attempts steal and gets thrown out

            WHY??????????????????????????????????
            1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

                      • The way the Nats are playing and how they manhandled the Giants in Washington, I would be happy with 1 win

And tonight, the exact opposite! MadBum with the CG, Belt gets 3 rbi and three hits and gets thrown out on the bases twice!! LOL Belt is 17-36 in August. While Belt isn't going to stay hitting .472, it just shows that if he can find a way to be consistant, this kid can really hit.

                              • I've been following the Giants all year and say what you will about Cain or Vogelsong but Bumgarner has been their best pitcher all year.
