  • congratz guys. your team is certainly a tough one to face in the playoffs in the postseason especially because of the pitching.

Who is going to be your first starter in the PS? lincecum or cain? lincecum bounced back very well (6.5 era vs just over 3 in the second half) but I still think cain should get the job here after this season. is vogelsong the 3 guy?
I now have my own non commercial blog about training for batspeed and power using my training experience in baseball and track and field.

        7 lopez

              • ken: One wonders how many splash hits Stretch would have gotten had in played in AT&T!! My guess is that he'd have at least as many as Barry.

wags: Oh Gosh, I'd say over 100 if he played there for 20 years. Stretch's swing would have been a perfect fit for AT&T Park.

i believe that mc covey would have rightfully owned his namesake's body of water.
keeping it to the 7+ seasons that bonds played at mays field (only 14 games played in '05), stretch would'a had 55 compared to bonds' 35.

                  • dusty baker has long preached winning the series, that it's all about winning the series. he is the first manager that i can recall stressing winning the first game of a series, then going after the series.

the big men are now 30-13-6 this season.

                      • bumgarner collected 6 strikeouts last night.
this season, only he and r.a. dickey have recorded 3 games with 10+ strikeouts and no walks.
and bumgarner is the only giant in the modern era with 3 such games in one season.

                              • This 2012 team is so different from the 2010 team. This year's pitching is clearly not as dominant as the 2010 staff. But this year's offense runs circles around the 2010 offense.
