  • The Cardinals Future

What do you think about this article? It looks like Morris is going to be gone from us to head to San Fran for a two-year contract, which means the Cardinals won't see the 20-game winner until about 2008. Dotel and/or Looper were mentioned as the setup man for Izzy, so that could be good for us.

The Cards have offered arbitration to Matty Mo so they can continue to negotiate. Interesting pick-ups yesterday: Aaron Miles (2B) and Larry Bigbie (OF) from the Rockies for Ray King. Tavarez, Sanders, and Grud were not offered arbitration. More questions than answers at this point

The you should take less money to play for us since we're the Cardinals approach is getting old. They let Morris go because they didn't want to give him 3 years or market value so they could pursue ?????? I think I'm more disappointed that Morris chose SF than not returning to the Cards. Pujols and Carpenter can't win every game by themselves.

I think you guys really need to rebuild for the future, get some nice young talent in. I'll give you Robinson Cano and Chien Ming Wang for Pujols.

Veteran reliever Jeff Nelson has agreed to terms with the St. Louis Cardinals on a minor-league contract that will pay him $800,000 if he makes the big-league club out of spring training, a baseball source told ESPN.com.

Added a new reliever...I have to admit I don't know him! Someone can help me?
