        • This is a nice photo of Pujols posted over at Viva El Birdo by bgh. I like the way you get all the retired numbers in picture contrasted with the next number to most likely get put on that wall.

              Pepper Martin and his wife at the 1931 World Series, in which he hit .500, drove in five runs, scored five times, and stole 5 bases.



              George Watkins scores the Cardinals' second run of the seventh game of the 1931 World Series after singling off Philadelphia's George Earnshaw in the bottom of the first inning. In the third, Watkins hit a two-run homerun off Earnshaw that was the margin of victory in the Cardinals' 4-2 win.
