As a kid it was Jack the Ripper.
My all-time favorite Cardinal, however is probably:
The Cardinals were a constant disappointment in the 1990s, but still my evenings were devoted to Buck and Shannon on the radio...and for most of those years the most consistent performer on the team was Lankford. Everyone seems to remember the mounting strike-out totals and late career injuries, but for a decade he was a remarkable combo of speed, power, and fielding grace. The all-time Busch II home run king, too.Last edited by TheStringIsOut_NC; 02-22-2008, 01:42 PM.
