  • Should the Nats attempt to acquire another starting pitcher?

With Ross out for the year and Roark having his troubles, should the Nat's try to trade for another starter? I know Roark pitched well yesterday, but it was only one start. What do you think?

I'm inclined to think that Rizzo's thinking that if he needs a 5th starter, he can drudge one up from the waiver wire or get an other Edwin Jackson type (experienced, but playing at AAA) at the drop of a hat.

But I still think it would be worth pursuing, because of the potential for injury to someone in that core 4 between now and the end of the season. This is one of those seasons that I think you almost have to go all-in, and make some sacrifices you otherwise might not make.

Of course, given what happened last night, naturally I think Jackson going to get some time to prove he's the right guy for the job. There's reason to think he can (obviously).
