***********My Rant on Bud Selig***********
Selig is like a stray pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know. The only real difference between Selig and a pigeon is that Selig intends to bury our heritage, our traditions, and our culture,

Originally posted by KCGHOSTAll that has happened here is that MLB has returned the DC Council's volley.
For those of us who have followed this the past couple years, we are in the homestretch. More bumps from opponents? Expect it. Derailment? No.
Next order of business is "Who will be the new owner?"

Originally posted by Bob HannahA much weaker volley compared to the salvos sent Baseball's way. There is really nothing in the "conditions" Baseball has put forward that will sink the deal. The excess tax is a minor sticking point. As for the council passing legislation contrary to what has been passed, I don't even think that council has the cojones to switch horses in the middle of the stream again.
