  • Get on With the Show This is It!!!

Ok, enough with stadium leases, Soriano, and the "Who will be the owner?" sweepstakes. Clicked on the telly midway through the Nats/Braves game, Atlanta up 2-1, Hudson v. Hernandez. They replayed Washington's run, coming on doubles by Gullien and Zimmerman, that occurred in an earlier inning.

Top five Clayton got his second hit, a sharp single to left then took second on a ball in the dirt, beating a good throw by the Atlanta catcher. Schneider was down 1-2 and worked Hudson for walk. Hernandez laid down a beautiful sac bunt, moving both runners over. Soriano was first pitch swinging and jacked one just inside the left field foul pole.

The birds are a twitter, hope springs eternal and my natural gas has decreased from the previous months. This has gotta mean opening day is just around the corner.

The juices are flowing, daffodils in bloom and the birds are trying to nest in the exhaust fan vents. Gotta mean baseball is here.

    I is happy.

I can feel it in the air too. We divy up the schedule on Sun, so I'll know when my first game is then.

It was great seeing Livan pitch well; I hope the knee continues to hold up. I was also glad to see Majewski have a good outing considering how much he's struggled since the WBC.

A pretty good showing by the Nationals, much more so than previous. This week has been encouraging as the teams play is much better than most of this month. It helps having everyone back from the WBC. Still, the offense needs to pick it up. Having Gullien and Soriano helped a lot tonight. Johnson hasn't hit too well this March, either.

I had read Majewski had been suffering from a cold or flu, his two previous outings had been horrendous. You're right, a good showing by him tonight. Bergman looked good in the ninth, two Ks and the off speed stuff looked good. Having Schnieder behind the plate improves the pitching staff, oh, so much.

I didn't really pay a whole lot attention to the game commentators. They did strike me as being much more animated than Proctor and Darling.

Well, Magic had another awful day today. Despite being spotted a 6 run lead, he gave up 4 runs on 3 hits and 2 BB in 2/3 of an inning. I hope whatever is troubling him is something he can get over in the next week.

Anyone else here going to the exhibition at RFK this Friday against Baltimore?
I will not assimilate into the Angelos Collective. Resistance is not futile.

I don't believe he got in a whole lot of work while at the WBC and am thinking that may have set him back some. There certainly weren't as many pitching opportunities as in Florida.

My goodness...what is going on with Ryan Zimmerman defensively? He made two errors in the game he played today, and now he has six errors during Spring Training. I'm worried about his defense, since he's replacing Vinny Castilla (Padres) at third base. What to do when the Nats play against my former favorite team, the rival Mets? Improve on defense in time for April 3?
