  • I can't concentrate on work this morning!

Gonna leave the office at around 10:45 and do something I haven't done since 1999—take the Metro to RFK. I have to come back to work after the game, and since Metro Center is across the street it seems easier. I just hope the security folks don't make a fuss about my digital SLR.

Could it be a nicer day for baseball or what????? This weather almost makes me glad that they opened on the road, although I wish it were a night game.

Hope to see everyone there! I am in Section 220, row 7, seat 9.
I will not assimilate into the Angelos Collective. Resistance is not futile.

I'm not bringing a cell phone, so there will be no voicemails Nobody at the office has my cell number anyway, and that's deliberate. My sole concession to this being a weekday game is that I will bring the Blackberry, but I insist on reading it only between innings.

Even then that's only to check updates from other games right?

Oh man what I wouldn't give to be down there today at the game. Will have to settle for the local minor league club instead(not that there is anything wrong with that)

Just got back to the office......bad result, good time, beautiful day to be at the stadium.

Metro's free shuttle buses to Union Station after the game are a good way to go for those folks who ride the subway. I had to come back to Metro Center, so riding the bus was better than standing in line at Stadium-Armory. I was back here less than half an hour after leaving the stadium. Did I mention that the bus was free?

Hmm, seems like that is pandering in a good way to the fans from Virginia. Allows those fans to take VRE to Union Station then take the shuttle bus.

It works other places, glad it works there as well!!!

Maryland, too, at least those not brainwashed into pulling for the team in Baltimore. The MARC train and the Red Line stop at Union Station.

How could I have forgotten about them

True, probably moreso for those west and northwest in Maryland who are closer to DC than Baltimore on those lines
