Del Crandall, a "perennial" all-star catcher with the Milwaukee Braves turns 90 today. (MLB Career: 1949-1966, except 1951 & 1952-Military Service. Boston Braves 1949-1950; Milwaukee Braves: 1953-1963. Sam Francisco Giants:1964; Pittsburgh Pirates: 1965;Cleveland Indians: 1966.
179 home runs, Three 20-home run seasons with a career high of 26 HR in 1955. Crandall had 8 consecutive seasons with 15 home runs or more and hit 179 career HRs.
