  • Living Players: 1957 Brooklyn And/Or 1958 Los Angeles Dodgers

    It's probably a very short list, but I am curious to know which players are still living who played on the last Dodgers team in Brooklyn (1957) or the first Dodgers team in Los Angeles (1958) and who played on both of them. Does anyone have that information available?

        Thanks for the quick response!

        I can confirm that all of the players listed above who played for the 1957 Brooklyn Dodgers also played for the 1958 Los Angles Dodgers (although some just briefly). I will now research which players only played for the 1958 Los Angeles Dodgers and post the results here on this thread.
        There was one omission from your list, however:
        3B - Randy Jackson, age 92, birthdate 2/10/1926, (MLB: 1950-1959; Dodgers - Brooklyn & L.A:1956-1958) and a two-time NL all-star with the Chicago Cubs (1954 & 1955) is alive and he played both for the '57 Brooklyn and '58 Los Angeles versions of the team.

          There are no living players who played only for the 1957 Brooklyn dodgers, but not for the 1958 Los Angles Dodgers.

          Add Randy Jackson 2/10/1926 to the above list of those who played for both the '57 Brooklyn Dodgers and the '58 Los Angeles Dodgers. Jackson is actually the oldest living 1957 Brooklyn Dodgers player of them all.

          Living Players who Played for only for the 1958 Los Angeles Dodgers, but weren't on the 1957 Brooklyn team.

          *Ron Negray 2/26/1930 - a pitcher who pitched for the Brooklyn dodgers in the early 1950s, moved on to the Phillies and other teams and then came back to the Dodgers In 1958 with Los Angeles, but was not with Brooklyn in 1957...
          Bob Lillis 6/2/30
          *Ralph Mauriello 8/25/1934
          Don Demeter 6/25/1935.
          Frank Howard 8/8/1936
          *Stan Williams 9/14/1936
          *Bob Gaiallombardo 5/20/1937
          Ron Fairly 7/12/1938. (youngest)

          * Pitchers
