As MLB embarks on a new baseball season, the thought that has permeated my brain, and just won't leave, is the fact the it is now 50 years since WE'VE been living without OUR BROOKLYN DODGERS, and 50 years without an Opening Day to attend. It still upsets me terribly, because it didn't have to be this way.......it just didn't!
I loved Opening Day and would count down the days, hours, and minutes until it finally arrived. The smell of OUR Ebbets Field once again, almost like it was the first time our nostrils had ever been filled with that special wonderful scent, that green green grass of OUR home, and most of all seeing OUR DODGERS, yes, OUR DODGERS in those incredible white and royal blue uniforms with that beautiful "B" on their caps, was almost too much to take in one day, although WE had seen it many times before. :gt
God, how I loved OUR Team.......and how I despise that man
for tearing OUR hearts out. :disbelief:
