Brooklyn Dodger Festival
I attended the Brooklyn Dodger fest today in Secaucus, NJ. Both Duke Snider and Andy Pafko were "no-shows". Saw all the other Dodgers and spent the day schmoozing with Wayne Terwilliger ('51 Bklyn--37 games). Had a great time. For the two players I wanted, I got to their tables towards the end of their sessions, so there wasn't any line, but I was surprised at the length of the lines for some of the players, especially Twig, but then again, maybe for each player, early on, there were long lines because there seemed to be people there that were getting everyone on their dodger pieces.
I had a chance to sit down and talk with quite a few of the players after they were done and they had some interesting stories to share.
The prices were a bit high (hence why I only got 2 autos) but this could have been the last Brooklyn reunion with this quantity of players.Baseball Happenings
