Does anybody have the Daily News Picture in 1280 x 1024
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair

That was the front page on October 5 in "New York's picture newspaper" and it was a good one. But I always had particular affection for the back page with it's banner head "THIS IS NEXT YEAR!".
After 1957, it seemed like we would never laugh again. Of course, we did. Its just that we were never young again.

The New York Post's headline was "Podres--Need We Say More?" The Mirror said "World Champs" and under it "D-O-D-G-E-R-S"
I have a picture on my wall of my brother and me that night. He was holding the Mirror and I was holding the News with "This is Next Year"

                  Wasn't that wonderful, FF?

I have each of them framed (both sides), and never tire of looking at them and remembering that incredible night and how sweet it was!

Sorry, FP, but since I am in the process of writing a book, I do not post any of my personal Brooklyn Dodger items.
