For 25 cents and three Elsie wrappers, a kid could get a bleacher seat at Ebbet's Field in 1956.

Those must have been the days.

That's right it was on the back of the yearbook from 1954-57.

            I'm only 39.

            I read that..I don't remember where...some time ago.

Things like that stick with me.

Jack Benny claimed to be 39 for about 40 years, i've been 39 for 20 years. Maybe it was the sticky wrapper.

I wish you luck. You have got a tough job ahead of you. Smyres is almost a figment of our cllective imagination as I know of nobody who has his picture and no one has been aboe to get his autograph, even after trying to get it by following him to motels and looking at the register and even sending him stuff "return receipt" requested or registered.

As to the others, some years ago (less than 15, maybe kess than 10) Target Stores put out a card set of all the Dodgers from year one to the then present. The cards all had black and white photos I know that Zachary had such a card and i believe I have seen Franklin and Wells. I am not sure about Osgood. The two from the 1930s would not have caught my attention as I concentrated only on 1940 to 1957.
                  Good Luck!!
