Isn't it interesting, that this bookwhich has been thoroughly researched, through many unbiased sources, has gotten virtually no publicity. No big rollout and preview in SI, no interviews with Murphy in large National publications. When the D'Antoni book came out, you can bet it was backed with a ot of O'Malley family money. D'Antoni says that his book was written by his being allowed access to O'Malley's papers. How in the heck can that be unbiased? If those of us who know the real truth continue to stay quiet, that will become the truth, no matter how false it really is.

It's amazing that what the O'Malley's want, the O'Malley's get, even today.

A nice tie-in to Murphy's book by a Syracuse columnist who recently read it:

The Huffington Post is not something I am want to frequent but I was very happy to make an exception here!

I had also found it for years much too pat to place all the blame on Robert Moses and that was why I was first happy to read Henry Fetter's chapter on the subject in his brilliant "Taking On The Yankees" book which IMO destroyed the revisionist argument completely through its economic analysis of how what O'Malley was asking for at Atlantic Avenue was something impossible for city government to grant (and it was also brilliant to see Fetter dissect the matter of how an Atlantic Avenue site would *not* have made much impact on the traffic situation that O'Malley had professed such concerns about). Having read Fetter, I was more than happy to see Murphy's book come out and IMO that only further exposes the revisionist argument for what it is: a giant whitewash job of Walter O'Malley that tries to capitalize on the fact that because of the Robert Caro book, Robert Moses is a much more convenient whipping boy that the rank and file can easily loathe because of Moses' sins in other areas.
