  • Abe Stark

Last night I came across a couple of letters from 1964 addressed to my father, on Brooklyn Borough President letterhead, signed by Abe Stark (of Ebbets Field scoreboard “Hit Sign, Win Suit” fame) in his capacity as Brooklyn Borough President. Does anyone know if these letters have any value? (There's no baseball content.) Also, is there any reason for me to believe the signatures are not real? Is it possible that Stark may have had a secretary sign his name on some of his correspondence?

Even if we assume they're legit, Gary, my gut feeling is that the value is marginal at best.
