  • RIP Don Zimmer

Former Brooklyn Dodger and long time coach and manager Don Zimmer has passed away. Zimmer recently had heart surgery and was a special advisor for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Lets get Eddie Basinski elected to the Polish Sports Hall of Fame.

Zimmer might have had a good ML career had he not suffered two serious beanings. He was a pretty multi-talented player when young, and had some pop in his bat for a middle infielder of that era.

Among his many distinctions, he fielded the ground ball that became the final out at Ebbets Field.

May Almighty God rest his soul.
Still patiently waiting @ at Sullivan & McKeever (once THE corner in MLB) for the Brooks to return from their extended road trip.

you can take the Dodgers out of Brooklyn, but you can't take the Brooklyn out of the DODGERS
