This can't be good for Montreal.

Manfred has made it clear that Montreal must build a new stadium if it wants to be considered for expansion. MLB wants no part of Olympic Stadium, even for a short time while the new place is being built.

Mets fan in NY here: I can't wait for Montreal to get a team back. The entire Jeff Loria/ Expos/ Marlins/ Miami ballpark saga deserves a documentary, and then hopefully a full criminal investigation. What a disgrace that was. Most people have no idea. I'm interested to know if baseball fans in Montreal have a strong preference for which league their next team is in? American, to be in the Blue Jays division, or, back where they were, in the NL East? As a Mets fan, I'd get rid of the Marlins in a second... Regarding TB, the latest I heard was that they do not have a stadium deal. Maybe there's hope.
