I remember Buddy Blattner as sports announcer, I think on the old NBC game of the week way back in the day

Now that is my kind of all-time team! I would add a couple of relief pitchers:
Ken Trinkle RH and Hooks Iott LH

Leon Treadway
"Red" Treadway played minor league ball in my hometown of Portsmouth, Va. He was a member of a fence-busting outfield that consisted of Treadway, Ken Guettler, and Bob Broome. Those "Cubs" were the 1950 Piedmont League (Class B) champions and were managed by another great ex-Giant, Frank "Skeeter" Scalzi.

And of course the manager has to be the incomparable Little Napoleon, John McGraw.
This came from the Book of Baseball Lists. I actually don't remember which HOF 1bman they listed. But either one would do.
Outstanding fact that should be better known in the
baseball world. Those men also had the honor of
playing baseball's most unique park: The Polo Grounds.
The Gem of 8th & 157th!

I almost vomited coffee everywhere looking at the first few teams with no Mel Ott. Finally some people added posts with some sense! Mel Ott is Mr Giant. To leave him off any Giants greats teams is pure lunacy!

Thadford Leon Treadway
Just to clarify things for y'all about the "Treadway" confusion.
It is "Thadford Leon Treadway," born in Athalone, NC who played in the outfield with Mel Ott and Joe Medwig. I know 'cause he's my dad!!
Sorry to say that he passed away several years ago - in the hospital following a heart attack - watching a Braves baseball game. As a matter of fact, my mother and I were holding his hands and we thought he'd gone to sleep. I asked Mother who was pitching that night, and Daddy roused up and said, "Smoltz." Then he left us and went on to the game.
He played 'til I was fifteen years old (retired in 1960). We loved his time with the game and he did, too. Thank y'all for remembering him.
Best regards,
Laura Treadway de Martino

RE: Alltime NY Giants Team
It's an even worse sign that I managed to spell it wrong two posts in a row!!!

RE: Alltime NY Giants Team
It's also not a good sign that I misspelled Lindsrtom's name either. Okay, well I guess you successfully goaded me into it. Here would be my reluctant picks for the All-Time NY Giants team:
C-Roger Connor
1B-Bill Terry
2B-Frankie Frisch
SS-George Davis
3B-Freddie Lindstrom
OF-Mel Ott
OF-Willie Mays
OF-Ross Youngs
P-Christy Mathewson
P-Carl Hubbell
P-Amos Rusie
P-Tim Keefe
RP-Joe McGinnity (Yeah, he was primarily a starter, but since he retroactively led the league three times in saves I'm not considering it too much of a stretch!)
MGR-John McGraw

RE: Alltime NY Giants Team
I know Willie Mays spend most of his career as a SF Giant but he was still the best centerfielder that the NY giants ever had so he should definitely be on this list.
