  • Two of the Oldest Athletics Die in the same week 3 days apart.

Two Athletics Players in their 90s have passed away this week.

Jack Crimian, 92, a righthanded pitcher on the 1956 Kansas City Athletics team passed way on Monday February 11.
Tommy Giordano, 93, a second baseman on the 1953 Philadelphia Athletics passed away three days later on Thursday, February 14. 1953 was Giordano's only big leagues season and the the Athletics were his only team. He appeared in 11 games.
Crimian appeared in 74 games in parts of four seasons. Besides pitching in 54 games for Kansas City in 1956, mostly in relief, but including 7 starts, he also appeared in brief stints in the majors with the 1951 and 1952 St. Louis Cardinals and the 1957 Detroit Tigers. There is a 1956 Topps baseball card of Jack Crimian, picturing him with the Kansas City Athletics..
