The late Joe Taylor was the last player to make their MLB debut as a Philadelphia Athletic (debuting on 8/26/1954).
Bill Oster made his debut three days earlier than Taylor and his debut was the last among currently living Phila. A's players. Oster is also the youngest player among living former Phialsdelphia Athletics. (born January 2, 1933).

The philadelphia athletics museum & store
Who knows if the Philadelphia Athletics Museum (Horsham, PA - about 15 - 20 miles due north of Center City, Philadelphia) is still in operation? They did a thriving ibusiness in Athletics memorabilia and some old Phillies material also from the mid or late 1990s through 2005, which was the last time I visited them.
If it still exists do they have regular store/museum hours that they are open to the public, or is it by appointment, or is it strictly a mail order business now?Last edited by philliesfiend55; 05-31-2015, 07:51 AM.
