                  Former Kansas City Athletics pitcher Don Larsen has passed away on New Years Day, 2020 per Sportscenter on ESPN.

                  Larsen was most famous/known for his 1956 World Series perfect game for the Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers.

                    Former Kansas City Athletics catcher/infielder Hal Smith has passed away.

                    Smith is another former World Series hero (not for the KC A's of course) when he hit a huge 3 run home run in the 7th game of the 1960 World Series for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
