A rep for McFarland books called me back on Monday morning to verify my order. The book will be available in October. They won't charge my credit card until then. I'm looking forward to it!

I got an Invoice in the mail today. I'll have forgotten about it by October so I'm in for a pleasant surprise!

Any comments on the book from those who got it since October? I'd love to hear some reviews.

1969 Seattle Pilots: Major League Baseball's One-year Team

I thoroughly enjoyed this recent publishing of Seattle Pilots history! Kenneth Hogan did a fan-tastic job in describing the team's 1969/1970 existence. I thought it interesting to note that the descriptions and accounts of every game had me sitting right there in Sicks' Seattle Stadium and other ball parks enjoying the highlights (and not so highlights) to the seventh inning stretch and beyond (except for the game played on Sunday, June 15, 1969 at Yankee Stadium, which ended in the 6th inning). It was like being there. I also enjoyed the pictures as well!

Love the Book -- More !!!!

                      Kenny:

I just wanted to say what a great book it is. I am reading right now. As Pilot fan since 1969, it brings it all back to life although I lived in Detroit at the time. The uniform is what made me a fan. But reading about all the guys I remember is liking reliving a great time in baseball. The photos are great too.
Only one critic --- if you revise the book please include a list of those players who wore the uniform in spring training but never played in the big leagues. Other than that --- it is a fantastic book. Congratulations !!

A good book with good info. Reminds me a lot of the Carson Van Osten book but with more photos (albeit black and white but so what).

Outstanding book.........I sent it to the Souther League office in Georgia for Don Mincher, who's president of the Southern League, to sign.

This looks like a great book! I'll definitely get it once it goes to paperback or used from Amazon. I am very interested in this type of history!
