    When the article mentions Jim Bouton as one of the youngest "surviving" members of the 1969 Pilots, it makes it sound as if many are gone.

    Actually, amongst those who played for the '69 Pilots, most are still around.

    Those who have passed are Gene Brabender (their primary starting pitcher), Steve Barber, George Brunet and Miguel Fuentes. Manager Joe Schultz passed in 1996.

      Ray Oyler has been gone a long time too, but overall, you're right, Iron Jaw: the actuarial tables have been kind to this club.
