I have never seen this photo before.

Nor I. I was going to mention that it's been written that he was so nervous he had to have the manager tie his shoes..Then up pops your picture. I wonder if that was true and then they posed for a pic after the game recreating the shoe tying or did someone see that picture and just assume that the manager tied his shoes before the game? I'd almost lean to the first one as I can see no reason for a picture like that. any other thoughts?Thanks again Jackie, I enjoy your treasures...

Maybe the whole thing was staged - someone thought the idea was amusing and everyone agreed to go along with it?

I did not know this before. When Gaedel was brought up to the plate, he was wearing a genuine-looking diminutive Browns uniform with the number 1/8.
Where did Veeck get that uniform? It belonged to one of the Browns Batboys.
Who was that batboy: Bill DeWitt, now the owner of the St. Louis Cardinals.

That post was made nearly ten years ago. The photo was probably linked using a service that is no longer available, or perhaps it was embedded directly into the post and then BF was upgraded in a way that resulted in the loss of attached photos (as happened for a few weeks last summer during the most recent, subsequently aborted, upgrade).
