    Wow, that's some great stuff! A lot of info, more than one would think could be in there. Kudos. (One minor quibble: 1920 spring training was in Taylor, Texas, not Taylor, Alabama.)

      thanks Dave. Coming from you it is high praise. I do see one mistake however:

      "Plus, wheeler-dealer Bill Veeck had sent 19 different pitchers to the hill in 1953" ... Should have been 1952.

      The magazine is actually not as research oriented as we want it to be. We have to serve two masters: history, ... and keeping the fan club (and the players' reunions) going by publishing members' news, reminding people about their dues and offering them merchandising opportunities etc.

      We are always looking for researchers and writers. If anyone wants to submit something for publication, please send me a personal message.

          Taylor, which according to some notes I have is 33 miles from Austin and 60 from Waco
