Hey, don't cut short those five wins - those represented 9.3% of all of the Browns' victories that year!

To set the record straight on Trucks. He was traded by the Tigers, his long-term team, to the Browns after the 1952 season. He only pitched for the Browns for 2 months in 1953, going 5-4. He was then traded to the White Sox, where he went 15-6 the remainder of the season. He ended up 20-10, but only 5 of his wins were as a Brown.

Thanks for the info. I knew Virgil was a Southerner but I never made the connection.
