    Opening Day 1932

Monday April 11, 1932 Griffith Stadium Washington, DC
President Herbert Hoover tosses out the first pitch of
the season as Senator Manager Walter Johnson looks
on. The Senators would capture the opener 1-0 over the
Boston Red Sox behind the shutout pitching of Alvin "General"
Crowder on their way to a 93-61 third place finish.
