Just found this site today after searching for Frank Howard info. Thought I would start a new thread so I can hear about others memories of following the Senators. My time was the 60s, listening to the games on the radio mostly, seems like the games were seldom on tv, some weekend games. So, we followed on the radio and that became a part of our lives back then. I dont really recall being frustrated that they would not be making the playoffs or the world series anytime soon. They were our team, our guys. I remember taking the bus from SS to the stadium for doubleheaders, yes we had them back then and only had to pay for one game. Big Frank was the best, great player, class guy all the way, the good old days. Would love to hear about other memories.
