  • Sid Hudson 1915-2008

More sad news to report. Former Senators pitcher and coach Sid Hudson passed away last week in Waco TX at the age of 93. Hudson was a 2 time All Star for the Senators in 1941 and 1942. My condolences to Hudson's family and friends.

"For the Washington Senators, the worst time of the year is the baseball season." Roger Kahn

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." Rogers Hornsby.

I remember Sid as pitiching coach for the Nats. Many a time he walked to the mound with that look only a Senators fan would understand/appreciate.
