  • New Griffith Stadium website

With the coming of another baseball season, a new website dedicated to Griffith Stadium has recently appeared.

You can find the site here: Griffith Stadium website

Griffith Stadium was the home to the original Senators from 1911-1960, hosted the expansion Senators for 1 year in 1961, was the part time home of the Homestead Grays of the Negro League and also was the home field for the Washington Redskins after they departed Boston in 1937 through 1960.

President William Howard Taft initiated the tradition of the President of the US throwing out the first pitch at Griffith Stadium.
"For the Washington Senators, the worst time of the year is the baseball season." Roger Kahn

"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." Rogers Hornsby.
