Bob Chance spent parts of three years playing for the Senators, suiting up for the team from 1965 to 1967. He was originally traded with Woodie Held from the Indians to Washington for Chuck Hinton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie "Cookie" Chance, and his parents, Willie and Rosa Lee Chance.
Bob was a graduate of William James High School in Statesboro, Ga.

Bob played Major League Baseball for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators and California Angels, and was named the Sports Illustrated 1964 Rookie of the Year.
